Nick Gibbs

A chartered civil engineer with 37 years’ experience in projects and maintenance for Network Rail, London Underground and Iarnród Éirann.

Nick’s initial training was in Botswana, as a site engineer supervising the construction of the roads and urban infrastructure of Botswana’s capital Gaborone.

In addition to the traditional duties of a civil engineer his experience includes multi-discipline engineering assurance, commercial and project controls. In the rail industry, Nick has worked with infrastructure owners, 1st tier contractors, consultancies and sub-contractors.

Since joining Abacus in 2013, he has procured and administered sub-contracts between Alstom and its specialist signalling technology suppliers. He holds an MBA from Warwick Business School.
