A Chartered commercial manager and quantity Surveyor, Ian has been working with Abacus since 2013.

He has extensive experience as a quantity surveyor and commercial manager across a wide range of sectors, from infrastructure rail and civils to the property sector involving heritage, education, leisure and hospitality, as well as working with various public sector clients.

Ian’s strengths include cost and value reporting; contract administration; cost reporting; claims and change preparation; management and risk avoidance. This is underpinned by maintaining a solid focus on high quality commercial, contractual and financial management.

Ian has extensive experience as a quantity surveyor and commercial manager across a wide range of sectors, from infrastructure rail and civils to the property sector.

Since joining Abacus, Ian has acted as lead quantity surveyor on the Bristol Area Signalling Renewal Scheme and before that, he was Claims Consultant on the Swindon Area Signalling Renewal Scheme, and lead Quantity Surveyor on the Oxford Area Signalling Renewal Scheme.
